Forum Jazz
After Annecy in 2015, Saint-Etienne in 2017, Vienne in 2019, and Clermont-Ferrand in 2021, the Forum Jazz – produced by JAZZ(s)RA (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Jazz Professionals Platform) will be held in Lyon from November 29 to December 2nd 2023 !
Who are we?
Concerts for the general public and young audiences from Wednesday to Saturday, 20 showcases and 21 meetings for professionals and students in the music industry, and local organisations working together to promote jazz.
Jazz? Jazzs! At the crossroads of contemporary amplified music — soul, hip-hop, funk, electro, traditional and world music, contemporary music — every aesthetic will be represented.
4 days and evenings that will turn Lyon into an epicenter of Jazz(s) in France from 29 November to 2 December! Let’s set the pace for the industry together!
PROFESSIONALS / STUDENTS
Professional Forum
An epicenter for a federating event serving our music sector, a space for professionals from the artistic and cultural sector as well as students, which will be held from Thursday 30 November to Friday 1 December in H7 for a programme of professional meetings, then at the Marché Gare and the Périscope for two evenings of showcases. The professional dimension will be extended to Wednesday 29 November and Saturday 2 December at other venues in Lyon (Hot Club de Lyon, Hôtel de Ville).

Concerts
The Forum Jazz is based on a spirit of cooperation and on the cultural stakeholders of the host region. During the evenings and throughout the Forum, audiences will have the pleasure to discover the well-known venues that make up our region’s jazz scene. A unique collaboration reflecting our “Land of Jazz”. The Forum will open on Wednesday with a series of concerts for young audiences. The local public will be able to enjoy the opening night at the Chapelle de la Trinité, and showcases at the Marché Gare on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, take a jazz tour at the Hot Club de Lyon, Lyon City Hall, La Grooverie and Opéra Underground, and round off the Forum at the musée des Confluences ! And on Sunday, head to the Bistrot Jutard for a final concert.
