Regional structuring : contrasted territorial realities, a dynamic for collaboration !

16:00

French-speaking meeting.

In many regions of France, the jazz sector has set up structuring tools to promote and develop jazz and improvised music. Since 2014, these regional tools have initiated a permanent consultation, a forum for dialogue, exchange, resources and action around shared objectives. They wished to specify their framework for joint cooperation in a charter setting out their missions, objectives and commitments, which was adopted at the previous Forum Jazz in Clermont-Ferrand.

The meeting will be attended by representatives of the signatory structures, as well as other players working in their areas with a similar and unique approach, with a view to contributing to the emergence of regional tools throughout the country.

At the heart of this meeting will be the question of the conditions for the creation and development of regional tools and their sustainability. While it is acknowledged that the reality of these territories enables them to take concrete and dynamic account of the situation on the ground, it is sometimes difficult for these structures to benefit from the proper institutional recognition needed to set up and coordinate their own actions in the service of all the players in their region. Actions that go beyond the simple approach of observation/reflection/training/advice, and which have no place in the implementation of existing mechanisms (industry contracts, for example).
