With their unique sound, somewhere between jazz, opera and world music, the musicians of the Barolo trio take us on a musical journey around the Mare Nostrum of their origins. Close your eyes, and you’ll feel like you’re in a Fellini film, with only emotion, humility, musicality and generosity in their baggage. The three musicians of Barolo are cut out for encounters, sharing and dreaming.
What’s immediately striking is the uniqueness of the group’s sound, due to the unusual orchestration and the contribution of Rémy’s voice. Philippe, the band’s main composer, says: “It’s an incredible space of freedom, since there’s no group of this type on the scene. What unites the three of us, in addition to our music, is the fact that we carry the history of European migration in our origins: music as a passport for wandering peoples!“
