With her singular voice, Sandra Nkaké flies away to the folk-rock-soul sounds of her latest album, Scars. An album in her image : whole and full of sparkle, shaped by the dreams and ordeals of a fighter who has drawn the power of inscription of her singing and writing from her scars. A generous art of transcendence, beyond the logic of genres – soul, rock, folk, jazz… – to better embrace the expressive and sensitive spectrum of a very, very great living woman.
